Our Story

The story of Day & Nite starts back in 1954 when the Colonis brothers decided to incorporate and change the name to Day & Nite Plumbing of Lynnwood, Inc., specializing in new construction plumbing. In 1977, Don Malchom bought Day & Nite Plumbing of Lynnwood, Inc., and opened its doors to commercial and residential service plumbing. Don was hard-working, good-hearted, and honest. It was this reputation that interested Bruce Davis Sr. to convince his partners into purchasing this business rather than starting a new shop.

On January 10th, 1986, Day & Nite Plumbing of Lynnwood, Inc. was bought by Dan and Jane Krpan, Bob and Jill Davis, and Bruce Sr. and Judy Davis. The name was changed to Day & Nite Plumbing, Inc and updated the logo. The values of hard work and honesty remained present in the way we serve our community and how we forged our mission statement and code of ethics into our work culture.

Bruce Sr., a state licensed journeyman plumber, was the operator owner taking Day & Nite from a one-man operation with Bruce Sr. managing, operating, and running service out of a Datsun pick-up truck, to a fully staffed full-service plumbing company with a crew of journeyman plumbers, each with a fully stocked service truck, multiple apprentices, and a dumping flatbed truck.

New Beginnings

After years of success, we had such positive feedback for our plumbing service, we wanted to offer our customers more, so we developed a remodel division. We realized many of our customers had need for HVAC services on their furnaces, heat pumps, and air conditioners. In 1995, we shut down our remodel division and developed a full-service HVAC Division with state-of-the-art equipment and highly trained technicians. We officially changed our corporate name to Day & Nite Plumbing & Heating, Inc. In 2025 we added electrical services, to help provide end-to-end service with one call, and changed our name to Day & Nite with the tag: Plumbing Heating Cooling Electric

The company grew steadily despite the 80’s recession and the housing bubble burst of 2008, and continued to adapt and grow with the ever changing market, including: big box stores, internet, smartphones, digital job management, and AI. All these things challenged the industry and continued to make us better and stronger as we focused on value centered service and helping people.

As we grew, we relocated to a facility that better fit our growth and ability to serve our community. Still in Lynnwood and now with the space to offer our plumbing, electrical, and HVAC technicians with the support they need and a fully stocked warehouse.

Sole Ownership

On May 2, 2007, Bruce Sr. and Judy Davis became sole owners of Day & Nite and in September, Bruce Jr., with over 15 years of trade experience, became General Manager and then in 2016, part owner.
